a.Course subscription, absenteism & teamwork
For the Double Degree - BA Honours International Business program we can only choose 2 options on the last year at the University.


On the first year in Nottingham Trent University the courses are :
  1. Managing culture across borders
  2. English language 1
  3. International Business Environment
  4. Financial Global Markets
For the second year you have to take :
  1. Exploring Global Markets
  2. Dissertation
  3. Intercultural Event Management
  4. International Strategic Management
  5. Option 1
  6. Option 2

Absenteeism: “You should inform your course team if you are likely to be away from classes and/or the submission of assignments is affected. Contact your subject administrator in your academic school about any absences or impact on any assignments or attendance.”
Teamwork: “Seminars and workshops – smaller sessions where a group gets together, led by an academic, providing an opportunity to debate and discuss your learning. They are designed to be interactive, so you’ll need to contribute to them.”
b.University level expectations, marks and plagiarism.
University expectations : There is only a language requirement of 81 iBT TOEFL for us exchange students.
Grading scale:

Plagiarism: “The University views plagiarism as an academic irregularity and there are a number of different penalties which may be applied to plagiarism offences, ranging from capped marks and zero marks to dismissal from the course and termination of studies.”

Health in Galway

Health care in Galway, as in all of Ireland, is expensive (consultation of 40 to 60€). It is therefore important to have your European Health Insurance Card and to take out additional insurance to be reimbursed for all your health costs. EU citizens are covered in Ireland by their European health insurance card. As long as you hold this card, you will be treated as an Irish citizen in health care, whether you are visiting or staying permanently. Work during my studies, UK

Can I work during my studies? Most of students coming to UK for studies with a Tier 4 student visa are allowed to work 20 hours per week maximum during term time. This depends on the type of Tier 4 sponsor type you choose. Per week means a 7-day period starting on a Monday, so if you work with irregular hours or have more than one employer, you will need to keep detailed records of how many hours you work each day in order to ensure you do not exceed the limit.  "Term time" means the period when your Tier 4 sponsor expects you to be studying, and "vacation" means the period when your Tier 4 sponsor does not require you to be studying. These dates are usually set out on an education provider's website or in the course information it gives you, and employers are required to check them.
